The IODE Programme has a long tradition in organizing training activities for participating data centres and information centres. Since the late 1990s such training is organized within te framework of regional projects called "Ocean Data and Information Networks" (ODINs) . Below you can see a global map of ongoing ODIN projects.
The OceanDataPortal project is committed to promote and ensure the full participation of all IOC Member States in the project, including developing countries. It is for this reason that training on the development of national Ocean Data Protal provider nodes is now included in the training programme of IODE.
As from the year 2007 the OceanTeacher Academy project has started organizing regional courses on the establishment of ODP data provider nodes.
The following courses have been organized:
-
Training on the management of the End-To-End Management prototype system, 22-25 October 2007, IOC Project Office for IODE, Oostende, Belgium (Read more )
